Dari ist quasi das Skelett des modernen Neupersisch, welches in Afghanistan, Tadschikistan und im Iran die offizielle Landessprache ist. Dari kennt keine Dialekte und ist auch selbst kein Dialekt. Jedoch kann man alle Dialekte des modernen Persisch auf seine geschriebene Urform Dari zurückführen.
